Celebrating Fall in Naples, Florida

Just because our local trees don’t turn into a rainbow of colors in the autumn, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy this beautiful season. Autumn brings cooler temperatures and less humidity making outdoor activities increasingly pleasant. It is the perfect time of years for festivals and fall festivities are in no short supply in southern Florida.

October is just around the corner and the month is filled with fun. Here are a handful of festivals and activities we recommend taking of advantage of this year.

Movies on the Lawn at Mercato – This family-friendly event will show the movie Hotel Transylvania. It is free, so bring a blanket or some chairs and relax under the stars. The show starts October 15 at 7:30 PM and is located across from The Pub in Naples.

Stone Crab Festival – This festival held October 25-27 is on the historical Old Naples Waterfront. It features live music, art, vendors, family activities, and, of course, locally harvested stone crab claws, fish, and other shellfish. The event is free and open to the public.

American Musical Heritage Lectures: Fall Series – If music history is your passion, attend this series of lectures beginning at the end of October. The series will present topics relating to music history and choreography. Call 239-597-0670 for details.

Swamp Buggy Races – The Budweiser Fall Classic Swamp Buggy Races is a thrilling event. You’re sure to get a little dirty as this is known as the world’s muddiest races. This year, this event will be held November 2-3 at the Florida Sports Park.

Construction is Almost Complete at DeVoe Automotive!

Devoe Automotive

2015 GMC Sierra HD

As most of you know, we have been undergoing a facelift of sorts here at Devoe Automotive and we just wanted to give a quick update on the construction and let you know when things will be back to normal.

The Subaru dealership is still under construction and will be for the next couple weeks, and the same goes for the service department. However – we are happy to announce that the Buick GMC showroom is complete and looking better than ever!

We would love to invite you to our dealership to see how much progress has been made in the last few weeks, and while you’re here, you can check out the brand new Buick Encore! Even if you’re not looking for a new car, stop in to say “hello”, grab a cookie, and check out the new showroom. We love getting to know our neighbors!

Saturdays are Pink at DeVoe Buick!

Most of you already know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, but what you may not know is that DeVoe Buick is playing a small role in raising money to go towards breast cancer research. If you come in on any Saturday for any service here at DeVoe (there’s only one Saturday left!), we will make a $10 donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. We are making this donation on behalf of our customers in an effort to thank them for their business and their willingness to help fight breast cancer.

So swing by our service department this Saturday, get your oil changed or whatever car maintenance you may need, and help raise money for a good cause. See you Saturday!

Thank You!!

If you’ve visited our website recently, you’ve probably noticed a little addition to the homepage: the customer testimonials page! We receive so much feedback here at DeVoe Buick GMC in our sales and services departments, and wanted to share some with you. We can’t thank you enough for the reviews and encouragement. You are the reason why we do what we do. We love walking the car lot with you, answering questions, and helping you find the car that suits you best. So again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your encouraging words, and we look forward to serving you for another 40 years!

Teacher Appreciation Offer Extended!!

Originally, our Teacher Appreciation offer was scheduled to end August 11th; however, due to the great amount of participation and excitement generated through this event, we have decided to extend the offer to the 18th!

This means that all teachers and administrative staff in Collier County have a few more days to come in and get an oil change for only $16.95. Also, remember to share our Facebook page because we’re donating $5 per new fan to The Education Foundation of Collier County!

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week!

That’s right! This week is Teacher Appreciation week and DeVoe wants to show how thankful we are for teachers by offering a special deal to all the teachers of Collier County. This week only, Collier County teachers can come in and get their oil changed for only $16.95. It’s our little way of saying “thanks” for playing such an important role in so many young peoples lives.

Also, if you become a fan of the DeVoe Automotive Facebook page between now and August 19th, we will donate $5 to the Education Foundation of Collier County to help unprivileged students buy school supplies!

Let’s start sharing!

DeVoe Automotive Group Awards Scholarships to 10 Area High School Students

Everyone knows the best thing to invest in is yourself, and the best way to do that is to start with your education.  With tuition rising every year, many high school students may find themselves discouraged when they start thinking about college, but that is why DeVoe Automotive Group is here to help.

In 1970, Mr. Richard DeVoe himself started a scholarship program for high school graduates.  Since then, DeVoe has give out $2 million worth of scholarships to students throughout the area.  This year, we are happy to announce, we are giving out $12,000 scholarships to 10 lucky high school graduates.

We have evaluated 100s of students from several different high schools in the area and finally came out with our top 10 recipients.  These students were selected based on personal interviews, test scores, overall GPA, life goals and motivations.

Our staff, here at DeVoe Buick GMC, would like to congratulate the following students:

  • Aysegul Ozturk – Lely High School
  • Sergio Alvarez – Golden Gate High School
  • Lacey Pearson – Naples High School
