General Motors has big plans for its truck brand. GMC’s truck lineup has a ton to offer, but seems to be all-too-often overlooked by shoppers. That’s about to change with GMC’s next ad campaign, which is sure to catch the attention of pickup truck-shoppers nation-wide. GMC has partnered with ad agency Leo Burnett on a “big umbrella campaign” that will showcase GMC as a premium, refined truck brand.
The upcoming campaign will also feature individual lines using the same theme to highlight each vehicle’s high-end features and capabilities. Duncan Aldred, US vice president in charge of GMC and Buick. has commissioned famed ad agency Leo Burnett in an effort to help GMC begin to attract non-GM buyers and boost their growth.
“We’ve got to evolve that into something that builds the brand itself,” Aldred said to Automotive News during a media test drive of the 2015 GMC Canyon midsize pickup. “The hard bit is breaking through and getting people to recognize it.”
GMC is already seeing impressive success this year, as the brand’s sales rose 10% through September, which is the strongest performance of GM’s four brands. Much of that can be attributed to GMC’s high-end sub-brand, Denali, which accounted for 20% of GMC’s total sales last year.
Adding brand-new, engaging, and bold advertising will surely only help GMC in its quest to turn heads and establish itself as a brand that offers refined, quality pickup trucks.
Stop by DeVoe Buick GMC to see just what we’re talking about – you might be surprised!
September marked the seventh straight month of sales gains for the GMC brand. It was also the best GMC September sales since 2008 with success rates up 28% year-over-year.
The 2015 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL had the biggest sales increase with retail sales up 76% when compared to last year. The GMC Acadia and Terrain also performed well and accounted for 38% of all GMC September sales.
“GMC’s growth in September hinged on offering distinctive style and sophistication in a number of packages, allowing a wide array of customers to find the one that best fits their lifestyle,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president, Buick and GMC, in a statement. “Expanding our pickup portfolio, especially with the new Canyon, allows GMC to further expand its horizons and reach new customers.”
GMC pickups also sold well, with the Sierra lineup gaining 20% when compared to last September. The heavy-duty 2500HD and 3500HD models are gaining in popularity and accounted for 27% of total Sierra retail sales last month.
The GMC lineup has always consisted of quality vehicles that are hard-working and long-lasting. Come find the GMC vehicle for you at DeVoe Buick GMC.
Quality should be a top concern when shopping for your new car, truck, or SUV. According to J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study, two GMC vehicles rank higher than others in their segment. The study was based on responses from over 86,000 new car purchases and leases of cars from the 2014 model year. The survey was a lengthy 233 questions and was given to the new owners within 90 days of their original purchase.
The GMC Yukon ranked highest (in a tie) in the Large SUV segment while the Terrain took home top honors in the compact SUV category. The 2014 GMC Sierra HD ranked in the top three in the large heavy-duty pickup truck segment. It is also important to note that the Yukon was also recognized in J.D. Power’s Dependability Study earlier this year. This study looked at responses from 3-year-old Yukon owners. It ranked highest in its segment in this study too, making the Yukon a great choice full-size SUV.

Just when you thought Monday Night Football couldn’t get any better, GMC comes out of nowhere and announces that the new 2014 Sierra will have a starring role during ESPN’s new “Monday Night Football” launch next month. We don’t know about you, but all of us here at DeVoe are so excited about this!
In a recent press release by GMC, Tony DiSalle, vice president of GMC marketing, said, “The all-new Sierra Denali is a natural star for the new Monday Night Football launch open. Just as NFL players give their all on the field, GMC engineers and designers left nothing on the table when developing the Sierra.”
We couldn’t agree more with you, Tony!
Keep an eye out for the new 2014 Sierra during this year’s “Monday Night Football” debut on September 9th when the Eagles take on the Redskins. And remember, if you want to see the new Sierra Denali and take it for a test drive, you need to stop by DeVoe Buick GMC in Naples, Florida.
If you’ve never used a truck to tow a trailer of RV before, there’s something you need to know – not all trucks are created equally. Some trucks have what it takes to tow a heavy RV up and down hills, but unfortunately, lots of trucks out there today simply don’t have what it takes to tow heavy things for long distances.
So you’re probably asking yourself “what is different about the trucks that can handle the tough jobs?”
Well, the answer is simple. Trucks need a big, powerful engine in order to tow heavy things. It’s not rocket science! The 2014 GMC Sierra Pickup truck’s 5.3L V8 engine is huge, and needless today, it can handle a very heavy load. In fact, check out the video below to see the 2014 Sierra in action:
There truly is no replacement for displacement. Forget all the gimmicky turbo-boost engines that the competition is putting out there. If you need a truck that can get the hardest jobs done, and save gas while doing it, then you’ve found your truck. Stop by DeVoe Buick GMC to take one for a test drive today!
In our last blog we showed you a few pictures of the new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck. We showed the remodeled exterior, spacious interior, and the redesigned information center. Well this week we wanted to take it a step further and introduce you to the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali – the more refined version of the 2014 Sierra.
Featuring the signature grille, chrome accents, and unique wheels, the exterior of the Sierra 1500 Denali is striking. However, it’s not until you get inside the truck that you realize work trucks can be nice and luxurious too. With heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, and premium Bose speakers, the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali is the ultimate in professional grade.

That’s right, everyone. The 2014 GMC Sierra has been delivered to DeVoe Buick GMC and we could not be more excited to finally see this beast of a truck in real life! Upon first glance, it’s clear that the Sierra has undergone a major makeover. Somehow the truck just looks stronger and more capable. But it’s not until you get behind the wheel that you realize the new Sierra actually is much stronger and more capable. Rated at 355 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque, the available EcoTec 5.3L V8 in the new Sierra offers class-leading max trailering of 11,500 lbs when ordered with the available Max Trailering Package (Double cab, 4×2). Oh, and did we mention this same engine gets 16 MPG in the city, and 23 MPG on the highway? No longer do you need to sacrifice power for fuel efficiency.
Stop by DeVoe Buick GMC in Naples, Florida to see the 2014 Sierra for yourself. There are so many more features in this truck that you just need to experience for yourself. Stop by DeVoe today to set up your test drive!
Normally when people buy trucks, they do so with the understanding that they will be getting a lot of power and durability to get jobs done, but terrible gas mileage. However, the new 2014 is changing the game when it comes to trucks and fuel efficiency. No longer do you need to sacrifice fuel efficiency for power.
According to a press release by GMC early last month, the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 full size pickup truck has the best V8 pickup fuel economy in the industry. The press release goes on to say, “In addition to highway estimates that are 2 mpg higher than a comparative 2013 Ford and 3 mpg higher than Ram, Sierra’s new V8 fuel economy estimates also measure higher than those of the 2013 Ford F-150 Eco Boost V6.”
So there you have it. If you want a truck that will get the job done, and not break the bank at the gas pump, the new 2014 GMC Sierra is the truck for you. Stop by DeVoe Buick GMC later this spring and take one for a test drive.
There are so many trucks out there these days, how are you supposed to know which one is best? Which one will get the job done time and time again, and run strong for years down the road? Let us tell you. The best truck is the one that has been designed perfectly, been tested, tried, and proved, and won’t break even under the most rigorous examinations. That truck, my friends, is the 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
Trust us. The engineers over at GMC have done their homework on this truck, and as a result, we’re positive the new Sierra will pass any test you put in its way. Need some proof? Check out the video below. We think you’ll agree.
