2016 isn’t even here yet, and already Buick is unveiling some of the vehicles for its 2017 lineup. One Buick that is certain to steal the show is the 2017 Buick LaCrosse.

A recent Buick press release announced various details about the 2017 Buick LaCrosse release.
To start with, the new LaCrosse will be the first vehicle in the Buick lineup to carry Buick’s new badge insignia on its grille. But the changes don’t stop there.
The 2017 Buick LaCrosse will be lighter than any LaCrosse model introduced. This lighter mass is achieved through press-hardened steel, which also increases the responsive handling of the vehicle. The end result is a sedan 300 pounds lighter than the current model.
“The new LaCrosse is drop-dead gorgeous and signals the next phase of Buick’s international momentum,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick. “Its quietness, comfort and connectivity were developed to set new standards in the segment, supported by technologies not offered on competitors such as the Lexus ES.”
The future of Buick has arrived with the introduction of the 2017 Buick LaCrosse.
Every 2016 Buick model comes with standard 4G LTE connectivity, making it easy to stay connected, whether that be access to music, social media, navigation, or now, audio books. Buick and Audiobooks.com have announced that Buick owners who are subscribed to the OnStar service will qualify for two free audiobook downloads through the end of next year.
The two free audio books will be available through OnStar’s AtYourService concierge service, which also provides location-based offers and the ability to book hotel rooms through Priceline.com. For 2016 Buick Regal or LaCrosse owners, the service will be provided through the integration of Apple CarPlay.

“Whether you are a morning commuter listening to the latest business book, a family listening to a book while driving on vacation, or a couple listening to a best seller on a weekend getaway, streaming audiobooks are a great way for drivers to discover a new favorite book while keeping their eyes on the road ahead,” said Ian Small, Audiobooks.com president and COO in a statement. “Now Buick owners can enjoy fresh entertainment content in their vehicles and the first two books are on us.”

Late last month, General Motors announced that a few more GMC vehicles will get Android Auto starting in March 2016. The 2016 GMC Canyon, Sierra, and Yukon models equipped with the eight-inch IntelliLink system will be able to get this upgrade at any GMC dealer, including here at DeVoe Buick GMC.

With Android Auto on the IntelliLink system, drivers will be able to access everything they love on their smartphones right on the vehicle’s touchscreen, including great apps like Google Maps, Google Now, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and so much more.
Apple users, don’t worry; Apple CarPlay was announced earlier this year and is available in the same GMC lineup.
“Providing Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility ushers in a new era of staying connected in a convenient manner,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president, Buick and GMC, in a statement.
Many of the Android Auto features can be access through voice commands, letting you keep your hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road.
Going hand-in-hand with this in-car technology is the available of OnStar 4G LTE connectivity that turns your GMC into a Wi-Fi hotspot that allows up to seven devices to connect at once.

When it comes to manual versus automatic transmissions, both have their pros and cons, and it’s important to understand the differences when you go to make a decision on what car to buy.
If you have the resources and patience to learn to how to drive manual, it could save you a lot of money. Cars with manual transmissions tend to have lower sticker prices and use less gas than automatics.
Manual transmissions are also preferred by auto enthusiasts and sports car drivers. Acceleration is greatly improved with manual transmissions, and driving lovers prefer the better performance and extra control the stick shift provides.
Then again, with automatic transmissions being the more common choice, fewer and fewer people know how to drive manual cars. So if you want to learn, it could be difficult to find a teacher or even someone who owns a manual car. Plus, automatic cars don’t require learned skills to be able to get them up a steep hill. If you’re not an enthusiast and you prefer easy to exciting, automatic is probably right for you.
Do you ever wish that your smart phone could be integrated into your car?
2016 Buick LaCrosse – Coming Soon to DeVoe Buick GMC!
Well, great news! Using the touchscreen display, you can now safely answer phone calls, send and receive text messages, listen to music, and utilize the navigation apps found on your phone—all thanks to the integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These two programs have been integrated in Buick’s 2016 Regal and LaCrosse as well as GMC’s Canyon, Sierra, and Yukon, which will be available later this year.
“For most of us, our smartphones are essential. Partnering with Apple and Google to offer CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility across the widest range of models in the industry is a great example of how (GM) continues to democratize technology that’s important to our customers,” said Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors.
Apple CarPlay-supported vehicles will also offer OnStar 4G LTE capabilities for WiFi hotspot support.

The new 2016 Buick Enclave will be equipped with OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi so you can officially connect from anywhere inside the vehicle! The built-in Wi-Fi hotspot will effectively connect up to seven devices within the Enclave.
4G LTE connectivity is 10-times faster than 3G and it’s 100-times faster than the OnStar technology previously offered. The Wi-Fi signal is also much stronger than other phones that are connected to the same network.
Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick, said, “Customers’ daily lives are so entwined with personal devices, so the addition of OnStar 4G LTE and its integral Wi-Fi hotspot is a feature they will rely on. It allows busy people to stay connected throughout the day and provides another outlet for passenger entertainment on long trips.”
The new technology will now be standard across the entire Buick lineup, including the new Enclave, Verano, and Regal. Visit DeVoe Buick GMC for more information on the upcoming, Wi-Fi-enabled 2016 Buick Enclave.
