GMC Vehicles Power the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Everyone loves watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The floats, balloons, and performances are enough to dazzle, and the nostalgia is palpable. This year’s 88th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was hauled down the streets of New York City by GMC vehicles, as it has been for 34 years.
This year the 2015 Canyon joined the fleet of 55 GMC automobiles. This brand-new midsize truck is proving its mettle by pulling the enormous floats. The Canyon has the capability to haul up to 7,000 lbs, leading its segment. It also takes its segment in horsepower (coming in at 200 hp or 305hp with different engine options) and EPA-estimated fuel economy (27 mpg or 26 with the options).
Speaking of engine options, the Canyon comes equipped with either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 drivetrain under the hood. The Canyon starts at $21,880.
Here at DeVoe Buick GMC we are proud of our brand’s participation of such a beloved piece of American history and believe that GMC and its vehicles make this event possible.
