Each year, Ward’s Auto chooses ten new and redesigned vehicles for its “10 Best Interiors” list, which honors the models with most innovative and impressive interiors based on a variety of criteria.
Ward’s Auto recently announced its choices for 2015, including the GMC Canyon SLT on the list. Additionally, the Canyon SLT was one of only two pick-up trucks that made the cut, right next to Ford’s latest F-150.
To be eligible for the list, a vehicle’s interior has to be entirely new, meaning there were about 40 vehicles available to choose from for this year’s list. The judges spent a careful 10 days with the cars, in order to make the right decision.
James M. Amend of Ward’s Auto cited “a good dose of technology and styling that strikes a unique balance between sophistication and good old-fashioned pickup ruggedness” as reasons for the Canyon’s selection, as well as its brand attributes.
The all-new Canyon was introduced about a year ago. In case you haven’t yet gotten a chance to stop by DeVoe Buick GMC to check it out, GMC is providing consumers with the virtual Canyon Experience.
The program is an interactive test drive that uses the technology of Google Maps and Google Street View to place the Canyon in virtual drivers’ neighborhoods or anywhere in the world. They can choose the city, shore, mountains, and rural scenery as their settings, making it easy to picture the Canyon on the road or even just outside of their own homes.
“The Canyon Experience will appeal to the variety of lifestyles and interests of our very diverse audience,” said Ken Bakowski, marketing manager for the Canyon. “Customers can learn about the various Canyon attributes that interest them, including capability, safety, the quiet cabin, connectivity and more.”
You can join the experience by heading to the designated website to check out how cool the all-new Canyon looks on the road. Be sure to hide the address and take a picture of how the Canyon looks sitting by your driveway.
Everyone loves watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The floats, balloons, and performances are enough to dazzle, and the nostalgia is palpable. This year’s 88th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was hauled down the streets of New York City by GMC vehicles, as it has been for 34 years.
This year the 2015 Canyon joined the fleet of 55 GMC automobiles. This brand-new midsize truck is proving its mettle by pulling the enormous floats. The Canyon has the capability to haul up to 7,000 lbs, leading its segment. It also takes its segment in horsepower (coming in at 200 hp or 305hp with different engine options) and EPA-estimated fuel economy (27 mpg or 26 with the options).

With the release of the 2015 GMC Canyon, as well as its sister vehicle, the Chevrolet Colorado, GM is working hard to make the midsize truck segment relevant again. As you know, loyal DeVoe Buick GMC customers, the pickup truck is eternally popular, but it can also be very expensive to own, especially because of high gas prices. However, midsize trucks like the Canyon give you the capability you demand from a truck without all those high fuel prices.
2015 GMC Canyon
“The all-new Canyon is the segment’s first premium midsize truck, delivering class-leading capabilities with the brand’s signature refinement,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “It’s an efficiently sized, maneuverable package for customers who want the cargo-hauling and trailering versatility of a truck without the size of a full-size pickup.”

2015 GMC Canyon – Coming Soon to DeVoe!
The 2015 Canyon looks like it’ll quickly become a favorite at the DeVoe Buick GMC dealership when it launches this fall, thanks to its great value and standard equipment. It’s got a direct-injected 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that cranks out 200 horsepower, signature LEDs, four-way power driver’s seat, CornerStep rear bumper, and 16-inch aluminum wheels.
It also comes with Pro Grade Protection, which includes five-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, and two-year/24,000-mile standard scheduled maintenance.

The 2015 GMC Canyon is just another example of the old adage that good things come in small packages. The Canyon has the ability to give you full-size capabilities in a compact size. It stems from its 3.6-liter V6 engine which is able to produce up to 302-horsepower. Drivers can also opt for the smaller four-cylinder engine that makes 193-horsepower. No matter which engine you choose, you will surely love its capabilities.
The Canyon has a 41-ft. turning radius which makes it easier to maneuver and operate especially in crowded parking lots and busy city streets. Drivers also enjoy the fact that the Canyon will fit effortlessly in their garage. Measuring in at just over 212-inches for the crew cab configuration, the Canyon will park easily at almost any location.
The Canyon will be coming to our dealership this fall, be sure to come see how it will easily fit into your lifestyle at DeVoe Buick GMC!
When plans for the 2015 GMC Canyon were first announced, everyone jumped to conclusions about how much power it would have. However, it wasn’t until earlier this month that we know for sure how much power is going to be under the hood.
“Extended Cab models of both trucks come standard with a 2.5-liter, direct-injected four-cylinder rated at 200 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 191 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. That’s a bit more than the 193 hp and 184 lb-ft originally reported for the duo. The standard transmission for the extended trucks is a six-speed manual, but the Work Truck trim is also available with an optional six-speed automatic. Towing for the four-cylinder is rated at 3,500 pounds.”
The 2015 GMC Canyon will be a force to be reckoned with – and don’t you forget it! Keep checking our blog and Facebook page for more updates about this beast of a truck.
