The 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 is here at last, and the new model comes with quite a new few features. From personal customization options, like paint color, to features that are commonly requested by drivers, this full-size pickup is designed to give customers more for their money. While GMC has added quite a few new features, the automaker has also removed some as well.
The 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 loses the Light Steel Gray Metallic, Iridium Metallic, and Mahogany Metallic colors. As a replacement, the full-size pickup sees the addition of Dark Slate Metallic and Pepperdust Metallic.
As for highly-requested GMC Sierra 1500 features, the truck sees the addition of capless fuel fill and Teen Driver mode with IntelliLink infotainment system to the list of standard features. Low Speed Mitigation Braking also makes its way onto the list. Tri-Mode Power Steps, 18-inch all-season blackwall tires, and a trailer brake controller (SLT Crew Cab Premium Plus Package) all join the list of available options.
2017 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain Package
The All Terrain Package will no longer be available on the Sierra 1500 SLE trim. Instead, the SLE receives the Elevation Edition package.
Here at DeVoe Buick GMC, we’re proud to stock the latest GMC Sierra 1500—complete with all its new features!
We’ve long been hearing rumors about a new convertible, possibly called the Cascada, coming to the Buick lineup. Now, word is the Buick Cascada debut is happening at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week.
Besides the fact that the new convertible has been on its way, we haven’t known much about it, even its official name. Cascada is what the car is called in Europe under the Opel name, but Buick could very well have given it a new name for its US sales. It is expected to maintain much of the same styling of its European cousin—and we at DeVoe Buick GMC won’t mind that at all.
If you’re making the trek to Detroit for the show, keep in mind the Buick display will be in a new location this year. Instead of sticking with its General Motors counterparts, Buick is cozying up to its luxury rivals like Infiniti and Acura. If you see the new convertible, tell us what you think about it in the comments below.
What do you hope to see or learn from the highly-anticipated Buick Cascada debut?
With the release of the 2015 GMC Canyon, as well as its sister vehicle, the Chevrolet Colorado, GM is working hard to make the midsize truck segment relevant again. As you know, loyal DeVoe Buick GMC customers, the pickup truck is eternally popular, but it can also be very expensive to own, especially because of high gas prices. However, midsize trucks like the Canyon give you the capability you demand from a truck without all those high fuel prices.
2015 GMC Canyon
“The all-new Canyon is the segment’s first premium midsize truck, delivering class-leading capabilities with the brand’s signature refinement,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “It’s an efficiently sized, maneuverable package for customers who want the cargo-hauling and trailering versatility of a truck without the size of a full-size pickup.”
Come see us at DeVoe to learn more about the Canyon, to ask us about its powertrain configurations, trims, standard and available features, and much, much more. We think you’ll soon be convinced that the Canyon doesn’t just compete in its segment; it already owns its segment.
