Buick is well known for its intelligent designs and impressive safety. In fact, all six 2017 Buick models earned a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Safety Administration—one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. This is the third year in a row Buick has earned this significant achievement.
According to GM, Buick is only one of two brands in the industry to reach this achievement. The 2017 Cascada is also the first 2017 convertible to earn a 5-Star Rating. The LaCrosse also has some impressive safety features for the new model year, including sophisticated technologies, premium craftsmanship, and improved handling.
“We know safety is top of mind for buyers when shopping for new vehicles, and the recent ratings by NHTSA showcase our brand’s dedication to providing our customers with safe, reliable transportation,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing. “We’ve launched four new vehicles in 2016 and we are extremely proud to continue to offer a lineup of award-winning vehicles that have NHTSA five-star Overall Vehicle Score ratings across the board.”
Buick safety awards are well-deserved, especially considering the number to technologies the brand offers. This includes a Safety Alert Seat, Front Pedestrian Braking, and even a front-center airbag on the Enclave—the only offered in its segment. Stop by DeVoe to learn more about Buick safety systems.
There are a lot of reasons why you should call a Buick “yours,” but one of the biggest reasons is top safety. This year, the 2017 Buick models feature more safety than ever.
The 2017 Buick Envision has earned a five-star overall vehicle score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). To earn this high score, a vehicle must meet stellar safety requirements, and the Envision certainly does. It didn’t only take home five stars from the NHTSA, it also earned the 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ for the second year in a row.
So, what makes Buicks so safe? It starts with top standard safety technology like radar and ultrasonic sensors that always keep drivers safe and confident. Available features like Forward Collision Alert and Forward Automatic Braking help give the driver an extra hand on the road and help prevent accidents.
The all-new Buick Envision also has features like front crash prevention and high intensity discharge headlights, all which helped it earn the top IIHS safety rating.
“Safety, quality and craftsmanship are designed into every Buick,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing.
No matter what 2017 Buick model you choose, you know that you’ll be getting amazing safety.
The 2015 Buick Encore Recently Received a 5-Star Rating from the NHTSA
It looks like its vehicles’ appearances aren’t the only things Buick is revamping this year—the American carmaker is also revamping each vehicle’s safety. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently awarded the 2015 Buick Encore its top 5-Star Overall Safety Rating. With this award, Buick now has one of the safest lineups in the industry, with each vehicle—the Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Enclave, and Encore—earning a 5-Star Overall score.
“Consumers are consistently surprised to discover Encore provides the characteristics they expect in our larger offerings–style, sophistication, connectivity and comfort,” commented Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “NHTSA’s evaluation affirms Encore lives up to Buick’s safety reputation.”
The 2015 Buick Encore safety rating was earned after undergoing a rigorous crash test gauntlet, including front, side, and rollover tests. It also underwent a side pole impact test, which is the NHTSA’s newest assessment.

2015 Buick Regal
The 2015 Buick Regal sedan has been praised by the government for its safety. In fact, the Buick Regal five-star safety rating was recently announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)—the arm of the government concerned with vehicle safety.
This rating is based on three different tests: a frontal crash test, in which the Regal scored four stars; a side crash test, which awarded the Regal five stars; and a rollover crash test, which gained another four stars for the Regal.
This rating is for both the front-wheel and all-wheel-drive models of the Buick Regal.
The 2015 Buick Regal comes standard with a rearview camera, six airbags, stability control, traction control, and antilock brakes. Optional features include lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, and side blind zone alert.
The 2015 Buick Regal is already on dealer lots, and we are very excited at DeVoe Buick GMC to be able to offer you a top five-star safety rated vehicle.
